We warned Adina that by noon we were going to take her room apart and help her clean it up. It was truly a disaster area. I didn't even want to take photos of it because it was so disgusting. Joel continued to work with her as I moved into the girls bathroom which was equally as toxic. I pulled EVERYTHING and mean everything out of the bathroom, from out of the medicine chest and from the cabinets and drawers. I threw out five garbage pails worth of junk. Then I started in with the cleaning fluids. I literally had to scrub the bath mat AND the tub with bleach and a scrub brush and then leave it to soak. I just don't understand how the girls can even stand to take a shower in that muck.
Joel and I filled up an entire outdoor garbage container, that usually takes us a week to fill, with stuff from Adina's room. We spent six hours cleaning in her room and the bathroom.
The cleaning also created about five loads of laundry which I am still folding at 11 p.m. But we had to eat and there was no way that I wanted to clean up the kitchen so we headed over to a pizza place and had a quick dinner. This photo is of Joel lecturing Adina about her room and that she better keep it the way it is in the following photo.
After cleaning and cleaning, Adina was very happy to be sitting at her desk surfing the internet. I liked this photo because of reddish color that the lamps throw around the room. I also wanted a snapshot of the room, nice and clean!
Even Grace enjoyed the clean room and curled up on the floor next to me. I was trying to get as close as I could and use the wide angle lens without distorting the view at all.
