Sunday, April 10 was the last day of the Jazz Picnic in the Park until the fall.  It was a beautiful day, a little on the hot side, but we had our chairs with the built in shade!  Joel and I packed up our chairs, some food and water and set up in "our" spot.  Richard showed up a few minutes later and Joel helped him unpack his car.

Richard and I immediately opened up a bottle of white wine (mind you it is 10:30 a.m.!!!) and continued drinking throughout the concert until every last drop was gone!  Between the heat, the wine and me relaxing to the jazz music, I fell asleep during the last 20 minutes or so of the concert.  It was a GREAT nap!

My favorite photo of the day was of the pink socks that some guy was wearing.  They just totally caught my attention and I had to snap this photo!

South Beach

So I decided to tag along with Jeremiah's Level III Class.  They took a field trip to South Beach.  I have done this particular walk in the past, but I always like to improve on what I may have done before.

It was a perfect evening, temperatures in the high 70s and practically no humidity (well for South Florida that is!!) and we started at about 7 p.m. just as the sun was dropping.  

This gives us the challenge of holding our cameras perfectly still without a tripod and pushing our ISO and apertures so that we get clear shots and well lit and proper depth of field.
